Travelling to Bradford

BritRail Pass
International delegates can take advantage of a special

From Leeds Bradford

a journey from the Airport to Bradford city centre will cost in the region of

Bus
The 747 bus service operates from the airport to Bradford
Interchange in the city centre.
The adult fare from the airport to Bradford is £2.10.
The service operates:-
Monday to Friday from 0705 hrs with the last service at
2230 hrs. There are two buses per hour until 2030 hrs when there is one bus per
hour.
Saturday from 0800 hrs until 1930 hrs with two buses per
hour.
Sunday from 1035 hrs until 1830 hrs with one bus per hour.

From Manchester Airport
Train
A direct train service from Manchester Airport operates to
Leeds where you can transfer to Bradford Interchange or Forster Square.
The service from Manchester Airport to Leeds takes between
1 hour 15 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes at peak times there are three trains per
hour.
A single journey costs from £7 to £21 depending on journey.
The journey from Leeds to Bradford Interchange or Bradford
Forster Square takes approximately 20 minutes with up to eight trains per hour.

From Heathrow Airport

Heathrow
Express
The Heathrow Express offers the
fastest journey between the airport and central London. Non-stop trains run
every 15 minutes and the journey between Heathrow Central and London Paddington
takes 15 minutes (a few minutes more for Terminals 4 or 5). Travel in comfort
on modern trains with air-conditioning, plenty of baggage space, wireless
internet and free TV. You can even use your mobile phone when the train is in a
tunnel
Times and tickets : trains run between 0507
hrs and 2342 hrs from Heathrow.
Tickets can be bought on the internet, at
the station or on board the train. The standard single fare is £16.50 and
standard return costs £32.
London Underground
The Piccadilly Line provides the
most cost-effective rail route between Heathrow Airport and the capital.
Journey time is under an hour and you shouldn't have to wait longer than ten
minutes for a train, even off-peak.
Where to catch trains : Heathrow has three
London Underground stations – one for Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and one each at
Terminal 4 and Terminal 5.
Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 station is in
the central area between the terminals and a few minutes' walk from them via
underground walkways. Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 stations are in the basements of
the terminal buildings. All stations are in Travelcard Zone 6.
Fares and tickets : a single fare to
central London costs approximately £4. Purchase a Travelcard and you're covered
for London buses and some mainline trains too.
Tickets are available at all London
Underground stations, from ticket offices or machines. Pre-paid Oyster cards
can also be used on the London Underground
London taxis
are available outside each terminal. The cost to central London is £45 – £70 and
the journey time is approximately one hour.

From Gatwick Airport

trains per hour from Gatwick to Victoria for onward travel to Kings Cross.
Journey time is approximately 20 minutes and a single fare is £16.09

operates approximately four trains per hour from Gatwick to St Pancreas (next
door to Kings Cross). Journey time is approximately 30-45 minutes and a single

Checker Cars
are the official taxi provider at Gatwick Airport. Book at their desk in the
airport. Journey time is usually just over an hour and fees are £77 plus £5

Rail Journeys From
King's Cross
There are currently 33 trains per day from King's Cross to
Leeds (15 on Saturday and 17 on Sunday). Journey times vary from 2 hours 10
minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. Connections to Bradford are frequent with
overall journey times from King's Cross to Bradford averaging 3 hours.

Travelling Around
Bradford
The Freecitybus links locations including
Bradford Interchange, Forster Square Rail Station, Forster
Square Shopping
Park, Kirkgate Shopping Centre,
the Oastler Centre, the National Media Museum and Library, and
the University of Bradford and College.
The buses run every ten minutes from 7am to
7pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 5.30pm on Saturdays.
It costs you nothing to travel on any
