Research Showcase Day 2008

Introduction

The School of Informatics exhibited its research at the University Showcase event on 5th February 2008 in the Atrium. The photographs below show the School research teams and their displays.

Research group leaders and academic staff in the School spoke about their latest research to colleagues in the University and visitors from the city and region. There were a large number of visitors to the Informatics displays which testifies to the great interest in the current work of the School.

Informatics researchers were rewarded for their efforts by receiving the award for the best overall display at the exhibition. A further special mention should be made for Dr's Peter and Lucy Comerford's stand which won the prize for the best individual display.

The Dean of Informatics, Dr Ian Palmer expressed his gratitude to all concerned for their efforts and made a special point of thanking the Associate Dean for Research Prof. Peter Cowling and School Research Administrator Rona Wilson for co-ordinating the event.
