How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in PhD study at the University of Bradford. In order to take your application further, please complete an Application Form; it is important you complete the document fully and provide all the information requested on page 4 of the application. A minimum of two references are required. Please make it clear on your application how you will be paying the fees as there are no scholarships available, hence all students must be self-funded. Application and reference forms can be downloaded from the menu on the right.

For those looking for a New Route PhD we recommend a route of one of our range of specialised MSc programmes followed by MPhil/PhD registration to give a four year route to a PhD combining taught and research elements.

You may find it useful to e-mail a member of staff as a potential PhD supervisor directly before completing your application. E-mail addresses are given on staff or research group web pages.

If you wish to apply for a particular research group, or under the supervision of an individual staff member whom you have contacted, please list them in the RESEARCH TOPIC section of the Application Form. If you make a more general application for a research area, we will allocate a suitable potential supervisor.
